  • Suspension Specialists

Finding your ride height can actually be a bit tricky as most manufactures don't readily provide these specifications. There is also not just one standardized measurement for all vehicles.

We will walk you through the most preferred and accurate way to measure your truck eliminating common issues customers run into.

Things You Will Need:

  • - Tape Measure
  • - Pen Paper / Notes Application
  • - You can download our Ride Height Work-Sheet here

Things To Consider:

  • - Make sure the vehicle is fully unloaded with no extra bearing weight
  • - (Optional) Ideally have 1/2 to 3/4 tank of fuel for more accurate measurement

First Steps:

  • - Have the vehicle on level ground
  • - Roll the vehicle forward and back allowing the suspension to relax
  • - Grab your tape measure
  • - Start at the front drivers side wheel
  • - Measure from the center of the wheel to the center of the fender opening and note
  • - Move to the drivers side rear wheel
  • - Repeat the measurement from the center of the wheel to the center of the fender opening and note
  • - Repeat this process on the passenger side to ensure correct height and stance
  • - Done

This method of measuring ride hide is preferred as it negates any issues with tire wear or different diameters.

    Note:

    • If your measurements are off from driver to passenger side or heavily off from front to rear. This could be the result of worn or defective suspension parts and may need to be repaired or replaced.
